THE PHOTOPHOBIAS REPORT 2

Fall 2002

another post trip memo

I've not explored New Mexico much in the past. High on must list has always been Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in central New Mexico. The gathering of Snow Geese and Sandhill Cranes has been one of the great spectacles in nature and has always attracted birders and wildlife photographers alike. I finally got an opportunity in November of 2002 and I loved it. I'd like to make it a regular or yearly stop.

Mule deer are frequently seen in the refuge. Coyotes were also fairly common. The variety and abundace of birds including many hawks, harriers, a few bald eagles, mountain bluebirds, Say's Phoebe, Great Egret, Great Blue heron, Roadrunner. The list goes on and on. These are a small sampling of the images I captured on my first visit.
